Paranormal Activity Trailer

I have chosen the horror trailer: 'Paranormal Activity', the reason for choosing this trailer is due to its great success in the box office from a minimal budget and using no special effects to create a huge sense of fear in the audience.

Even the trailer appears basic in nature, it is through this lack of effects and gore our senses are enthralled. The trailer creates mystery and I want to find out what is going on, identifying the audience with the characters. Furthermore, we see the reactions of 'live' audiences which gives the audience the idea that this is a film that shall live up to its reviews and appearance.

This format of film gives me ideas for my horror trailer later in the curriculum, maybe taking on the style of this trailer or following a similar theme.
